Columbia Bölgesi Başsavcısı Jeanine Pirro, Allen aleyhinde hazırlanan iddianameyi kamuoyuyla paylaşırken, şüphelinin "ABD Başkanı'na suikast girişimi" dahil 3 ayrı suçtan yargılanacağını açıkladı. "Bu olay, ABD Başkanı'na yönelik bir suikast girişimiydi; sanık niyetini açıkça ortaya koydu ve bu niyet, elinden geldiğince çok sayıda üst düzey kabine üyesini ortadan kaldırmaktı." ifadesini kullanan Pirro, Allen’ın duruşma öncesinde tutuklu kalmasını talep ettiklerini ve ilk duruşmanın 30 Nisan’da yapılacağını belirtti. Pirro, şüphelinin Trump'a yönelik suikast girişiminin yanı sıra "ağır suç işleme niyetiyle ateşli silah taşımak" ve "şiddet içeren bir suç sırasında ateşli silah kullanmak" ile suçlandığını kaydetti. ABD'li Başsavcı, hakkındaki suçlamaları kabul etmeyen Allen'ın "ömür boyu hapis cezası" alabileceğini ifade etti.
