Questioned about potentially unfreezing Iranian assets, Trump said the US had “defeated them militarily,” describing Iran’s capabilities as minimal. “Maybe they make a deal, maybe they don’t, it doesn’t matter. From the standpoint of America, we win.” he added. The president confirmed “very deep negotiations” are underway, with vice president JD Vance leading hours of discussions in Islamabad.
