Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift donate millions to charities across US ahead of wedding

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are marking their wedding with a remarkable act of generosity, gifting $26million (£19.47million) to more than 20 charitable organisations across the United States.

The couple, both 36, will exchange vows at Madison Square Garden tomorrow, with more than 1,000 guests expected to witness the ceremony.

This evening, a more intimate gathering of 100 close friends and family members will attend the rehearsal dinner at the Infosys Theater within MSG.

Swift's longtime collaborators and friends have already been spotted arriving on the East Coast as the wedding weekend gets underway.

The charitable donations span a wide variety of causes, with food banks representing the largest category of recipients.

Nine food banks will benefit from the couple's kindness, including Helping Harvest in Reading, Pennsylvania, where Swift grew up.

Three children's hospitals are also among the beneficiaries, alongside seven educational programmes designed to support young people across the US.

The announcement was made through the couple's representatives, who confirmed the donations had been made this week in advance of the wedding celebrations.

The geographical spread of recipients reflects both Swift's and Kelce's connections, with organisations in New York, Kansas City, Nashville, Los Angeles and Rhode Island all receiving funds.

The full roster of beneficiaries encompasses City Harvest New York City, Food Bank For NYC, New York Cares, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and Harvesters The Community Food Network in Kansas City.

Nashville's The Store, Helping Harvest in Reading, Rhode Island Community Food Bank, and Feeding America complete the list of food bank recipients.

The ASPCA and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library are also among those receiving funds, as are Grammy In The Schools, Education Through Music, Answer The Call, Musical Mentors and After-School All-Stars.

Healthcare organisations benefiting include MSK Kids at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, the Children & Teen and Adolescents & Young Adult programmes, Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone, and Children's Mercy Hospital.

Nashville's The Store thanked the couple for the generous donation.

"Their kindness will help more families across Middle Tennessee access fresh, healthy food with dignity and choice, and we're honoured to have their support.
