By EMMA RICHTER, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 15:20, 6 August 2026 | Updated: 15:29, 6 August 2026 The Texas toddler whose parents sued to keep her on life support after a drowning accident left her brain dead has died.  Two-year-old Annelise Camp died on Monday, her devastated family said in an update on a GoFundMe fundraiser.  'Annelise is now with Jesus. While our hearts are broken, we trust in his perfect love, his faithfulness, and his promises,' her parents, Johnston and Joy Camp, wrote.  'We know she is fully healed and experiencing the joy of being in his presence.'  Her grandfather, Steve Camp, shared her final moments in a heartbreaking Facebook post.  'This past Monday Annelise was extubated, taking out the tubes that kept her breathing these last ten weeks since her accidental drowning on Memorial Day. When this procedure was done, she passed very quickly,' Steve wrote.  Her case quickly became known across the country after her parents sued Texas Children's Hospital after doctors told them they wanted to perform brain testing on the little girl.  She was celebrating Memorial Day on May 25 with her family in Houston when she wandered into the pool after her life jacket was taken off, her loved ones said.  Her cousin pulled her from the water, and first responders took her to the hospital for treatment.   But the Camp family wanted their child to keep receiving the medical care she needed, but if she was declared brain dead after the accident, that treatment would've been limited, court documents previously reviewed by the Daily Mail stated.  Two-year-old Annelise Camp died on Monday, her devastated family said in an update on a GoFundMe fundraiser This is breaking news... updates to follow.
