Tragedies like Henry Nowak's murder are 'becoming the new normal', podcaster warns: 'It's not shocking anymore'
المصدر: GB News | Source: GB NewsTragedies like the murder of Henry Nowak are "becoming the new normal" and are "not shocking" to society anymore, Liam Tuffs has warned.
Speaking to GB News, the podcast host revealed that "tears poured down his face" after watching the horrific body cam footage of Mr Nowak's final moments.
Sitting down with GB News star Will Kingston, Mr Tuffs argued that the political elite view such cases as "cinema" as they are "so detached" from the British people.
He said: "I feel that straight in the solar plexus, and it's very upsetting, and so we go to the Henry Novak situation, first of all, appalling, horrific, barbaric, unforgivable, unforgettable. And I really, really want people never, ever to forget his name.
TRENDINGStoriesVideosYour Say"Because news shifts so fast, maybe there'll be something else that snatches your attention, whether it's a purposeful distraction or it's a genuine, traumatic experience that puts us all in grave danger or someone gets tortured or mutilated."
He urged that the name Henry Nowak must "never be forgotten": "The elites will want you to forget that shameful moment.
"Being dragged through the gravel, his dead white corpse, hands on show, being handcuffed, read his rights as he's taking his final breath. A complete miscarriage of justice from start to finish."
Mr Tuffs recalled watching the body cam footage for the first time and being reminded of his own son, who is the same age.
He revealed: "I woke up in the middle of the night, I checked my phone, and the first time I watched it, tears poured down the side of my eyes.
"Previously that night I took my son for a Nando's, he's the same age as Henry Novak."
Mr Tuffs criticised outgoing Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer for his response to the murder, taking aim at his "appalling" delay in issuing a statement.
He told GB News: "I was appalled that it took Keir Starmer so long to come out and comment on it. We're not just having scumbags infiltrate the way into the country by hook or by crook, sneaking through dinghies and bopping through different countries to get here, hovering around France and then making their way.

"The Sikh that took his life had previous form for being a threat to society, a danger, a menace to society.
"His own community reported him and called him out, and he was reported to the police as well, so all of the things that we see unfolding, they could all have been easily prevented if action was taken with immediate effect, and the politicians took the people seriously and our safety seriously."
Mr Tuffs argued that the political elite simply "do not care" about the British people in society today.
He said: "The political elite don't give a monkey's fart about the likes of me and you that are in the trenches, that are more likely to be on the receiving end.
"But I tell you what shocked me the most out of both events because they were heavy duty, Nowak and Belfast. The shocking thing is, it's no longer shocking. It's happening every day. It has become the new normal."
Mr Tuffs concluded that he is "horrified" that this is the situation the country is currently facing.
He told GB News: "The Lee Rigby moment should have been the moment, the light bulb moment, but yet still we're seeing the same events rolling out time after time, and the politicians just sit there in Westminster, they're all friends and buddies in the hallway, it's all pantomime.
"They're all just ugly actors. It's like Hollywood for ugly people, and to them, like I say, that's just cinema. For us, it hits home and I don't think that they're going to take anything seriously until something happens to them or somebody that they know and love.
"They're very cocooned and they're very safe in their gated communities. So I'm shocked because I'm not shocked."
