The city’s traffic police department in an advisory said that the entry of heavy vehicles, including dumpers, water tankers, and goods transport vehicles, will be prohibited on August 25 and 26. The decision will also be implemented over mini-trucks other heavy vehicles. The traffic police department has directed to the transport owners’ bodies and heavy vehicles owners to ensure compliance of the ban. The prohibition will remain in force from 11 Rabi-ul-Awwal until the night of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. Officials said that a comprehensive plan to manage the heavy traffic during Eid Milad un-Nabi will be implemented to ensure the traffic flow during the celebrations. The ban on heavy vehicles is part of the traffic management plan to ensure public safety and facilitate the safe passage of large religious processions and gatherings, traffic police said. .post__content img .post__content img
