Futbol hayatına başlangıcından bahseden Alanzinho, 9 yaşında Brezilya'nın Flamengo takımında forma giydiğini söyledi. Bir öğrencinin 'Unutamadığın gol hangisiydi?' sorusunu yanıtlayan Alanzinho, "Birçok kişi Galatasaray'a attığım golü söylüyor. Birçok kişi Gençlerbirliği'ne attığım golü söylüyor veya Manisa'ya attığım golü söylüyor. Benim için en önemli, en güzel gol Galatasaray'a attığım gol. Çünkü benim ilk derbi golümdü ve çok güzel bir goldü." diye konuştu. Alanzinho, Fenerbahçe ile oynadıkları bir maçın kendisi için çok önemli olduğuna değinerek, "Fenerbahçe'de idolüm olan Alex oynuyordu. Alex'e karşı oynadığım için benim için çok özel bir maçtı. Fenerbahçe çok iyi bir takımdı ama bizim de çok iyi bir takımımız vardı. Maçı kazandıktan sonra inanılmaz bir mutluluk yaşadık. Özellikle şehre geldiğimizde insanların dışarıda olduğunu görmek benim için unutulmaz bir duyguydu." ifadelerini kullandı. Trabzonspor taraftarının enerjisinin çok farklı olduğunu vurgulayan Alanzinho, sözlerini şöyle sürdürdü: "Çok ateşli ve çok güzel taraftarı var. Hiçbir zaman unutamayacağım anılar yaşadım taraftarla alakalı. Hatta Brezilya'ya gittiğimde her zaman, her yerde Trabzonspor taraftarını anlatıyorum. Brezilya'da herkes bana Trabzon'u ve Trabzonspor taraftarını soruyor. Gerçekten çok ateşli bir taraftar, çok sadık bir taraftar." Trabzonspor'un mevcut kadrosunu değerlendiren Alanzinho, "Şu anda Trabzonspor'un çok iyi ve çok kaliteli bir takımı var. Beğendiğim çok oyuncu var ama Brezilyalı olduğu için Felipe Agusto'yu biraz daha fazla beğeniyorum.
