Tadej Pogačar’s perfect 2026 season continued on Sunday, as he soloed to a third Tour of Flanders victory, shedding Mathieu van der Poel on the final ascent of the Oude Kwaremont and keeping the Dutchman at bay during the race’s closing 18 kilometres.Pogačar has now won all three races he has taken part in this season — Strade Bianche, Milan-Sanremo and Flanders — and is the first rider to win the latter two in the same season since Eddy Merckx in 1975.Advertisement
