3.40 Deauville - Star fillies Blue Bolt and Precise lock horns again

A red-hot renewal of this Group One Prix Rothschild at Deauville where Blue Bolt and Precise renew their rivalry.

Andrew Balding's Blue Bolt saw off Precise when landing a first Group One success in the Falmouth at Newmarket last month and bids to confirm that form under Colin Keane. A dominant winner on that occasion, the market believes she can follow up and land a four-timer.

Balding said: "She seems in good nick and if she repeats the performance from Newmarket she will take a lot of beating.

"She's been a star this year and the only factor is she has never travelled far from home to run before. But if she takes the travel in her stride then she should hold every chance of continuing her winning run."

Aidan O'Brien saddles Precise, herself a four-time Group One scorer, with Ryan Moore in the plate. An impressive winner of the Irish 1000 Guineas, she took the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot before failing to land a blow on Blue Bolt. Sent off the odds-on favourite that day, it will be fascinating to see if she can reverse the form.

O'Brien said: "She's in good form, she was stood in the gates a little bit long the last day and lost a couple of lengths and turned her head a little bit.

"Hopefully she won't do that the next day and give away those lengths. It's hard to do that at somewhere like Newmarket, especially at the July meeting where you are going straight down. We're happy with everything she's doing and looking forward to seeing her again, she's been a special filly for us so far."

Moon Target has two lengths to find on her fourth behind Precise at the Royal meeting, while Green Spirit might appreciate the drop back to a mile.

A deep contest has several with each-way claims including Karl Burke's 1,000 Guineas runner-up Evolutionist.

3.20 Chester - Unbeaten Lifeplan heads the field

Declan Carroll's Lifeplan faces eight rivals as he bids to remain unbeaten in a cracking edition of the Listed Queensferry Stakes at Chester.

Last year's Gimcrack champion has not been seen since landing that prestigious prize back in August and his connections are hoping he can make up for lost time. Stall nine will make life a bit trickier for jockey Zak Wheatley however.

Song Of The Clyde is a top performer on his day and showed all his ability when taking the Listed Carnarvon Stakes at Newbury. Below his best the last twice, he will not want conditions to be too quick.

Hugo Palmer fields Fitzella and Ardisia who are both closely matched on the pick of their runs, while Calico Blue steps up in class for Roger Varian.

12.56 Deauville - Woot Woot, Nicely and Queen Of The Day clash

A strong edition of the Sky Sports Racing Prix Six Perfections where a host of in-form two-year-old clash over seven furlongs.

Christopher Head has never hidden his admiration for Woot Woot and she justified that reputation when winning impressively at Saint-Cloud and she warrants respect on this grade.

Queen Of The Day defeated Woot Woot on debut before chasing home the exciting Avec Toi on her second start and she will find this an easier task.

British raider Nicely stepped forward from her debut to win comfortably at Hamilton and adds further intrigue to this splendid opener.
