Converging on a Josh Bell fly ball in the left-center-field gap, the two outfielders knocked heads running at full speed and Meadows’ left arm also appeared to be injured. Greene successfully made the catch and remained in the game unscathed, but Meadows went down immediately, with blood on his face, and stayed down for several minutes. Tigers finally retired Josh Bell, but Riley Greene and Parker Meadows had a nasty collision running down his fly ball. After the game, a fully conscious Meadows was seen being taken on a stretcher to a Minneapolis hospital, with his left arm in a sling. Per the Tigers, he’s expected to remain in Minnesota overnight for observation. Spot the pattern.
