Three Indian spies were sentenced under the Official Secrets Act after being arrested by security forces for their involvement with India's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). Security agencies, in an effective intelligence-based operation, had arrested three individuals allegedly involved in espionage activities for RAW. According to Associated Press of Pakistan, the accused belong to Narowal, Bahawalpur, and District Neelum in Azad Kashmir. The arrested individuals confessed that they were lured through certain social media platforms with offers of money and relationships with women in exchange for access to sensitive information. Payments were allegedly made to the suspects via Easypaisa, cryptocurrency wallets, and bank accounts. پاکستان کے سیکیورٹی اداروں کی موثر کارروائی بھارتی سرپرستی میں جاسوسی میں ملوث افراد گرفتار#PakistanNews #BreakingNews #SecurityForces #Espionage #PakistanSecurity #NewsUpdate #IntelligenceAgency #LatestNews #PakistanAlert pic.twitter.com/9EZVeLmMVK — APP (@appcsocialmedia) April 13, 2026 During the investigation, the suspects admitted to maintaining continuous contact with individuals, including women, believed to be associated with RAW through social media channels. Sources further stated that cases were registered against the accused under the Official Secrets Act. Following legal proceedings, the courts handed down sentences. Last year in November, a Pakistani fisherman allegedly recruited by Indian intelligence to carry out espionage activities in the country was arrested. Information Minister Atta Tarar, in a statement, said that a Pakistani fisherman named Ejaz Mallah was apprehended by the Pakistani law enforcement agency after being coerced by Indian intelligence to work for them. In October 2025, an Indian national, Usman, was also sentenced to 20 years in prison in Pakistan on charges of espionage and terrorism. Usman had been under surveillance for several months before his arrest. Intelligence reports indicated his involvement in espionage and terrorist activities aimed at destabilising the province. This conviction came against the backdrop of earlier incidents of Indian espionage in Pakistan. In March 2016, Pakistani intelligence agencies arrested Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, marking a significant milestone in the fight against terrorism and exposing India's deep-rooted involvement in state-sponsored subversion. Jadhav, a serving officer of India's intelligence agency RAW, was apprehended in Balochistan while actively planning terrorist operations. It was the first instance where a serving intelligence officer from one country was captured in another for orchestrating terrorist activities.
