Speaking to GB News, the Reform UK chairman declared: “He’s not here to defend himself, but the man's an idiot”.
Mr Polanski was reported to the police by Reform for sharing the post, with Mr Farage declaring: “If I were to post anything as inciteful then I would expect to be arrested, and so should Polanski.”
“These creatures that they've got no place in politics,” Mr Anderson said.
“I don't like to report people to the police for making stupid comments and sharing stuff, but the bar's been set on this.
“We saw that with Lucy Connelly; she made an awful tweet, she apologised and deleted it. But she went to prison for three years for that. So that's where the bar is at the moment,” the Reform chairman said.
