Thames Water's lenders are proposing a "golden share" to allow local authorities more control to prevent nationalisation.

The new plan includes a £10bn deal to write off debt and provide new funding, which was previously rejected by the government.

The lenders claim the revised offer includes significant improvements and aims to benefit customers while addressing Thames Water's issues.
