This video is no longer availableTexas man, 25, once gawked at by girls for being 'hot felon' suffers devastating physical blow after police car ran him over See more Daily Mail on Google - save us as a Preferred SourceBy EMMA RICHTER, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 22:12, 25 June 2026 | Updated: 22:20, 25 June 2026 A Texas man, who was once dubbed a 'hot felon' by women online when his mugshot was posted, has tragically lost his leg after a police car ran him over.  Adonis Porter, 25, had just walked out of a business in Lubbock, about five hours outside of Dallas, on June 6, when a Lubbock Police Department patrol vehicle struck him, KAMC reported.  Officers were called to the scene, near the Preston Smith International Airport, around 5am after a report came in about a man, later identified as Porter, allegedly being intoxicated and starting issues with employees, according to the outlet. But while on the way to the scene, a cop collided with Porter, who had just exited the business and was walking along Interstate 27.  Authorities - who were on their way to check on Porter, not arrest him - immediately rendered aid to him until paramedics arrived and rushed him to the hospital.  He remains in the hospital with serious injuries, including several broken bones and fractures, and the loss of his leg, his older brother said in a GoFundMe page created on Wednesday.  'He’s fighting every day to recover, but the road ahead will be long and filled with medical treatments, rehabilitation, prosthetics, and other unexpected expenses,' his brother, Ceazar Jaramillo Porter, wrote. 'Our family is doing everything we can, but we can’t do this alone.' The near-fatal accident comes nearly two years after Porter was arrested by the same police department for possessing less than two ounces of marijuana, displaying a fictitious motor vehicle registration, and speeding, according to a past report.  Adonis Porter, 25, suffered near-fatal injuries after he was struck by a Lubbock Police Department vehicle on June 6 around 5am During his time in the hospital, Porter has 'endured multiple surgeries,' his brother said. Several of his bones were also left fractured and broken Porter's mugshot, which was posted on Facebook, was quickly gawked at by several women who seemingly found the young man attractive.  Many women even took to the comments to share their opinion on his looks, with one posting: 'Hot felon.' Porter was never arrested for felonies, just misdemeanors.  Despite this fact, another gawking commenter wrote: 'Felon love' with heart emojis.  'Little handsome guy! Make better choices baby,' someone else shared. Meanwhile, other women posted emojis and tagged their friends, suggesting that they also found him easy on the eyes. After the terrifying incident, Porter's girlfriend shared multiple distressing posts about his 'long road to recovery'.  The day after he was struck by the car, she wrote: 'I don’t usually share personal things like this but I’m asking for prayers right now. 'Someone I love very much is in critical condition after a very serious accident. I’m asking everyone who believes in the power of prayer to please lift up someone I love right now. We are holding on to hope and need all the strength, miracle and prayers we can get.
