A tetraplegic veteran is embarking on a 79-mile journey in an off-road wheelchair to prove that life can "still be extraordinary".
Danny Mavor, who served in the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in Iraq, was paralysed from the neck down after a motorcycle accident six years ago.
The 41-year-old Glaswegian is now preparing to travel Great Glen Way in Scotland in a major endurance challenge next month, to raise money for those with spinal injuries.
Speaking to GB News ahead of his journey, Mr Mavor admitted he is starting to feel "nervous" as the start of the challenge approaches.
He said: "I'm feeling nervous now., being just a month from it. Stand by my idiotic phrase, definitely feel like that is starting to approach me a little bit more.
"Hopefully I'll feel a little bit more inspiring by the end of the journey, but I'm feeling like, as most people do when they take on a challenge or at least something that's out of their reach maybe, a little chaotic."
Asked by host Ellie Costello which part of the challenge he is most nervous about, the veteran said the weather in Scotland will prove to be particularly difficult for him to endure in his wheelchair.
Mr Mavor said: "I'm in Scotland, so I'm already looking at rain, and it's August, still summer, apparently. So by September, the tail end of September, I'm expecting wind, rain and not coming from the top, this is the stuff that hits you from the side.
"I'm expecting very much a big test on my endurance and on my team. There's a lot of training that comes with this, as does any challenge, an endurance test for someone, but there's a lot behind the team itself and just the adaptions of my care team, just the things that probably a lot of people won't take into consideration.
"The difficulty is not just getting to the start line, but for most people in wheelchairs and certainly tetraplegics, we all understand that the level of training and endurance just to get to the start line itself, so there's a lot of training going on."
Reflecting on his motorcycle accident six years ago, host Alex Armstrong asked Mr Mavor what inspired him to "get on with his life and do something incredible".
Mr Mavor responded: "You just need that bit of stubbornness, I think I've got plenty of that. I think I've most definitely got more stubbornness than I have sensibility, that's for sure.

"I've been questioned many times leading up to it, and I think in the grand scheme of it, when we first set out with the challenge, as the days get closer, I think the expedition gets bigger in my head and the training gets more involved with my team and outside sources, like media and social media.
"It just doesn't just become getting up and doing the training, you're trying to project that stubbornness to other people and trying to relay that message that whether you're in pain or completely paralysed from the neck down or with multiple sclerosis, you can manage."
Asked whether he still carries his military mindset with him on such challenges, having served as a veteran, Mr Mavor told GB News it is a "huge" part of his motivation.
He said: "I've always had the need for a little bit of adrenaline in my life, jumping from high buildings and trees when I was a kid, and that just escalated to climbing mountains and motorbikes, which found me to in the situation I am right now, unfortunately.
"But nonetheless, being in the army, I joined when I was 16-years-old. My first day in training was my 16th birthday, which was probably, no offence to my mum or dad, one of my best presents ever."
He concluded: "So that taught me a lot about when you need to adapt, improvise and overcome, and that is something that I've been doing my whole life.
"But even before joining the Army, I've got a lot of that stubbornness as well that gets you over that finish line, I hope."
