By KATIE HIND, CONSULTANT EDITOR SHOWBUSINESS Published: 22:11, 16 May 2026 | Updated: 00:11, 17 May 2026 Taylor Swift appeared to put on a one-woman fashion show as she donned an array of stylish outfits in New York last week. But she might want to add a pair of wellies to her designer collection – as the pop phenomenon is being lined up to headline Glastonbury next year. The Mail on Sunday can reveal that music industry insiders say Ms Swift, 36, is 'almost nailed on' to play the Pyramid stage in 2027. She has been on a break from performing since finishing her 149-date Eras world tour in December 2024. 'Taylor seems to be a dead cert,' says a source. 'Everything is aligning and it's all going ahead positively.' It comes after bride-to-be Ms Swift enjoyed a meal at the New York restaurant Or'esh on Friday with her fiance, American football star Travis Kelce, pictured right. She wore a £290 floral dress by LA designer Doen. On Monday Taylor Swift stepped out for a family night, sweetly holding hands with her mom as they made their way to dinner at Eighty-Six in the West Village Taylor Swift seen leaving writer Lena Dunham’s 40th birthday party at the Italian restaurant Via Carota on Tuesday Taylor Swift is seen leaving Zero Bond private members club in New York City on Thursday Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are seen out together in New York City on Friday evening It was the singer's fourth night out in the city that week. On Thursday, she was seen leaving private membership club Zero Bond in a £900 peplum blouse by Stella McCartney. She teamed the shirt with a £3,500 Fendi micro handbag. Two nights earlier, Ms Swift attended writer Lena Dunham's 40th birthday party at the Italian restaurant Via Carota, dressed in a £718 long-sleeve Retrofete mini-dress. She accessorised with £770 Gucci sling-back heels and a Dior bucket bag, priced at £2,000. And on Monday, the day after US Mother's Day, she went for dinner with her mum Andrea, dad Scott and brother Austin. For the occasion, she wore a £3,900 crystal-embellished Valentino dress with a pair of £1,395 Louboutins. Ms Swift's appearance at Glastonbury would be a major triumph for organiser Emily Eavis, who has been criticised for not having enough female performers in the festival's top slots. The industry source added: 'For so many years there hasn't been a big, female headliner on the Pyramid stage and it is something that the organisers know is an issue. Taylor Swift would solve that problem.' The 14-time Grammy Award winner was rumoured to have been on the line-up in 2024, as the festival was on at the same time as her UK Eras tour dates. But hopes were dashed when she instead added more concerts to her schedule. The Shake It Off singer's trip to Worthy Farm is unlikely to result in her running into ex-boyfriend Harry Styles, with the possibility of his Glastonbury debut ruled out by music insiders. Of course, Ms Swift will be Mrs Kelce by the time she arrives in Somerset. She is expected to marry NFL star Kelce in New York this July. The comments below have not been moderated.
