Published: 00:56, 25 August 2026 | Updated: 01:28, 25 August 2026 Three schoolboys accused of gang raping a teenage girl in Sydney's south-west allegedly drank alcohol while underage at a popular pub in the hours before the incident. The boys, all 17, allegedly sexually assaulted the 17-year-old girl at a home in the Macarthur region on August 15. Police allege the boys attended a pub in the Camden area with the girl hours before the alleged assault. She later left with one of the boys and went to a house, where police allege she was first sexually assaulted. They allege the boy was later joined by two other teenagers and that the alleged assault was recorded on video.  'Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command are making inquiries after reports of underage drinking within the Camden area,' a police spokesperson told the Daily Telegraph.  'Police continue to have a zero-tolerance approach to licensees supplying alcohol to juveniles.  'Camden police run regular compliance operations and engage with community and industry stakeholders including the Camden Liquor Accord to target underage drinking and licence breaches across the command.' The boys were arrested on August 19 and charged with multiple offences.  Three schoolboys charged over the alleged sexual assault of a girl in Sydney's south-west allegedly consumed alcohol while underage at a popular pub beforehand  One youth faces 11 charges, including six counts of aggravated sexual assault in the company of others and three counts of sexual intercourse without consent. Another teenager faces eight charges, including six counts of aggravated sexual assault in company, common assault and sexual intercourse without consent. The third youth has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault in company.  The trio remain in custody after their bail was refused. On Thursday, a Sydney court heard the teenager facing 11 charges attended a local football game with the girl before they went to the pub. The court was told the boy took her to his home and allegedly had sexual intercourse with her while she 'kept saying no' and attempted to fight back.  Police prosecutors alleged the youth 'texted a friend to join in' before a second boy allegedly assaulted the girl.  'The (victim) was treated like an object, she wasn't treated like a person. They were both too strong for her, she gave up fighting,' prosecutor Sergeant Rhonda Riley told the court. Two of the boys attend St Gregory's College, a private school in Gregory Hills near Campbelltown  Prosecutors told the court that after several hours the pair allegedly contacted the third accused, invited him to the house and 'promised' he could have sex with the girl.  'She was asleep at the time and was woken up by one of the co-offenders,' Sergeant Riley told the court, adding the alleged victim told the trio to 'f*** off'. The court was told the third boy allegedly had sexual intercourse with the girl without her consent before an alleged witness entered the room.  The court was told that after the alleged incident, the boys allegedly tried to give the girl money and attempted to contact witnesses. While remanding the three boys into custody, Judge Robert Rabbidge referenced the alleged sexual assault case involving Scots College students as well as the Sydney Swans' Melbourne hotel room scandal. 'We certainly know how the community thinks about the men connected to the Swans football team,' he said in court, according to the Daily Telegraph. 'Today, in our beautiful country, we have young men willing to treat a young woman as an object. 'The community is fed up with this sort of conduct. Young men have to show respect to all persons, particularly young women. How would any young Australian woman feel comfortable surrounded by these three young men?' St Gregory's College principal Matthew Brennan told parents in a letter that he was 'very sorry' to share that two students were due to face court over an alleged sexual assault  Two of the boys are understood to attend St Gregory’s College in Gregory Hills near Campbelltown.  Following news of the allegations, St Gregory's College principal Matthew Brennan told parents in a letter seen by the Daily Mail that he was 'very sorry' to share that two students were due to face court in relation to the matter.  'We express our deep concern for the young woman police have said was the victim of the alleged sexual assault and her family and loved ones,' Mr Brennan said. 'Sexual violence has no place in our community and the college stands with all victims of sexual violence.  'It is abhorrent what is alleged by police and is the antithesis of what we stand for and the values that we embrace. 'These are very serious allegations and the judicial process must now be allowed to take its course free of any commentary.' Sorry we are not currently accepting comments on this article.
