Hundreds of people gathered to watch more than a dozen pooches hit the waves for the event's tenth anniversary. The event, which is no walk in the park, helped raise money for local charities by brands and organisations sponsoring contestants. Registration opened promptly at 9am and the competition got underway 20 minutes later, before finishing with an awards ceremony at 1.30pm. There were eight events on the day including the small, medium and large and extra large categories. Dog owners were also able to get a taste of the action in the human and dog tandem category. Some dogs scored some near-pawfect runs having attended the events held in the San Francisco Bay area over many years.
