Summer House star West Wilson's cousin is arrested on suspicion of murdering his GRANDMOTHER

By WILL POTTER, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 19:37, 29 April 2026 | Updated: 19:45, 29 April 2026 A cousin of Summer House star West Wilson has been charged with allegedly murdering their grandmother.  Dakota Sweeney was arrested April 22 after allegedly shooting his 75-year-old grandmother Gayle Wilson in Carroll County, Missouri.  The suspect is facing charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action, and was arrested at the scene, reports TMZ.  Police said they were called to the scene of the shooting around 10:30pm on the night of April 22 on reports of a shooting, and Sweeney was arrested at the home. According to court records cited by KMBC, Sweeney's grandfather witnessed the shooting, and pointed the suspect out to police at the scene.  His grandfather told police that Sweeney and his grandmother had gotten into an argument over Sweeney not helping with chores earlier in the evening.  After sitting on the couch for around half an hour, Sweeney then allegedly shot his grandmother 'without warning', the court documents said.  The shooting unfolded the night before Sweeney's famous cousin West Wilson returned for a special reunion episode of Summer House.  A cousin of Summer House star West Wilson (pictured) has been charged with allegedly murdering their grandmother Wilson's cousin Dakota Sweeney was arrested April 22 after allegedly shooting his 75-year-old grandmother Gayle Wilson in Carroll County, Missouri  The comments below have not been moderated.
