Press release:
Qatar-based super app Snoonu has announced the launch of Snoonu Startup Factory, a new initiative aimed at supporting early-stage founders and accelerating startup growth across Qatar and the wider region.
The launch marks a strategic evolution in Snoonu’s role, transitioning from a technology platform into an active venture builder. The programme’s first investment is a $100,000 pre-seed round in Sufra AI, a startup developing AI-powered solutions to transform the in-restaurant dining experience.
Founded by graduates of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Sufra AI enables diners to access personalised menus via QR codes, offering tailored recommendations, seamless ordering, and integrated payments, while providing restaurants with real-time behavioural insights.
Through Startup Factory, Snoonu aims to offer more than capital, providing founders with mentorship, operational expertise, and direct access to market opportunities within its ecosystem.
The initiative is aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030 and will be based within the newly established Snoonu Technology Park, positioning it as a hub for innovation and startup development.
With this move, Snoonu joins a growing trend of regional tech companies reinvesting into the ecosystem, acting as both operators and venture builders to support the next generation of startups.
