Çevre ve Tarım Haberleri Müdürü Hale Aydoğmuş moderatörlüğünde düzenlenen etkinliğe, AA personeli ve davetliler katıldı. Çanakkale'deki batıkların, Türk tarihinde önemli bir yeri bulunan Çanakkale Savaşları'nın sessiz tanıkları olduğunu belirten Ceylan, bu zafere ilişkin yeterli düzeyde yazılı eser bulunmadığını, tarihi derinliği tam anlamıyla kavrayabilmek için Çanakkale'ye suyun altından bakılması gerektiğini vurguladı. Ceylan, 2012'de Çanakkale'nin derinlerindeki sessiz tanıklarının belgeselini yaptıklarını anlatarak, batıkların çoğunun oldukça derinlerde olduğunu söyledi. Derin dalışlarda güvenlikleri için üçlü gaz kullandıklarını dile getiren Ceylan, 50 metreye kadar havayla indiklerini, 50 metrenin altında ise karışım gazla devam ettiklerini belirtti. HMS Triumph Zırhlısının 73 metre derinlikte yan yatmış bir durumda bulunduğunu aktaran Ceylan, dalışı suyun üzerinde planladıklarını ve buna göre hareket ettiklerini anlattı. Ceylan, Çanakkale batıklarının 100 yıl boyunca dalışa yasaklandığını belirterek, "Majestic gemisi herkesin dalabileceği derinlikte ve üzerinde top mermileri bulunuyor." dedi. İngiliz barçlarının da derinlerde olduğunu ve üzerinde yüzyılın geçmişinin yer aldığını dile getiren Ceylan, barçların yıllar sonra bulunduğunu söyledi. Tahsin Ceylan, HMS E-14 İngiliz denizaltısının Çanakkale Boğazı'nı geçen ikinci denizaltı olduğunu, Kumkale açıklarındaki denizaltının askeri bölgede yer aldığını ve buraya özel izinle dalış yaptıklarını belirtti. İngilizlere ait Louis fırkateyninin Çanakkale Kemikli Burnu'nda yer aldığını anlatan Ceylan, derinliğinin 10-14 metre aralığında olduğunu ve herkesin dalış yapabileceğini dile getirdi. "Batıkları kayıt altına almak bir anlamda tarihi kaydetmektir. Tarihi geleceğe taşıyamasak da bu görüntülerle taşımış oluyoruz" diyen Ceylan, batıklara dalışların dikkat gerektirdiğini vurguladı. TCG Atılay denizaltısının Atatürk'ün ismini koyduğu 3 denizaltından biri olduğunu aktaran Ceylan, 1942'de Gölcük'ten çıkan denizaltının kaybolduğunu ve yıllarca bulunamadığını söyledi. 38 kişinin şehit olduğu denizaltının 1994'de bir balıkçının ağlarına takılmasıyla fark edildiğini anlatan Ceylan, söz konusu denizaltının 83 metre derinlikte yer aldığını ve batığına ulaşmasının yarım saati aldığını kaydetti.
