The five bedroom property, called Wheal Darlington, sits within two-and-a-half acres of landscaped grounds near Marazion in Cornwall. It enjoys a clear line of sight across the fields and foreshore to the internationally recognised landmark of St Michael's Mount – a striking island half a mile out to sea. The house has its living room upstairs on the first floor, which opens onto a large wraparound balcony. This allows the occupants to soak in the spectacular view of the famous island, which lies around half a mile out to sea.   There is also a kitchen and dining area that opens directly onto a sun terrace, five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Several outbuildings surround the property, including a dedicated pottery studio and a music and games room. St Michael's Mount, crowned by a medieval church and castle, is a hugely popular tourist attraction and filming location. More than 80 per cent of its trees were felled by howling winds that reached 111mph, leaving head gardener Darren Little 'devastated'. It was notably used as a key setting for House of the Dragon, the prequel to HBO's Game of Thrones series. The island is only accessible by boat, or by foot at low tide – when an ancient granite-cobbled pathway emerges from the sea for a few hours.
