Göztepe, Stoilov yönetiminde geçen sezon Türkiye Kupası'nda 49 yıl sonra yarı final vizesi almasına rağmen Trabzonspor engelini geçemedi. Bugüne kadar 68 Süper Lig, 22 1. Lig ve 9 Türkiye Kupası'nda görev yapan Bulgar teknik adam, bu müsabakalarda 47 galibiyet, 29 beraberlik ve 23 yenilgi yaşadı. Bu maçlarda rakip filelere 164 gol bırakan sarı-kırmızılı ekip, kalesinde 96 gol gördü. Süper Lig'de 36 farklı teknik direktörün görev yaptığı Göztepe'de şu ana kadar yüzde 38,2 galibiyet oranı yakalayan Stoilov, sarı-kırmızlılarda en fazla maça çıkan 5 çalıştırıcı içinde en başarılı teknik adam konumunda bulunuyor. Stoilov'u yüzde 37,1 ile Adnan Süvari, yüzde 33,3 ile Tamer Tuna, yüzde 29,3 ile İlhan Palut ve yüzde 26,9 ile Ruhi Karaduman izliyor.
