Status of Flyers goalie Dan Vladar for Game 4 uncertain: 'He's a little banged up'

VOORHEES, N.J. — Dan Vladar’s status for Game 4 of the Philadelphia Flyers’ first-round series with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday is in question, after the goaltender did not take part in practice on Thursday at the team’s training facility.Vladar may have stayed off the ice regardless, according to Rick Tocchet, but the coach acknowledged that Vladar is not at full health. In the third period of the Flyers’ 5-2 Game 3 win on Wednesday night, Vladar was shaken up after the Penguins’ Bryan Rust crashed the crease with 13:19 left. He was seen flexing his right arm and hand while trainer Tommy Alva attended to him. Vladar ultimately stayed in the game and helped the Flyers close out the win with 28 saves.Advertisement
