Sindh Rangers arrest three members of gang involved street crimes in Karachi

Sindh Rangers on Saturday arrested three alleged members of the “Tango gang” involved in street crimes during an operation in Karachi's Pathan Colony, according to a statement. A spokesperson said the arrested suspects include Kareemullah alias Lala, Sabir Hussain, and Muzammil Shah. "Mobile phones and cash were also recovered from their possession, and they were involved in multiple cases of street crime and robberies." "During the initial investigation, they confessed to stealing 300 to 400 mobile phones and motorcycles. Kareemullah admitted that he snatched 30 mobile phones during Ramazan, while Shah was involved in injuring a police officer during a police encounter," the statement added. "The arrested individuals have been handed over to the police for further legal proceedings. The gang is said to have been active in various areas of Karachi, including Baldia Town, Orangi Town, SITE Area, Ittihad Town, and Manghopir," the spokesperson concluded. Earlier this week, Sindh Rangers arrested four suspected members of a street crime gang in Karachi. The accused were involved in “multiple incidents of robbery and street crime” in Baldia Town, Gulshan Ghazi, and 24 Market. According to the Rangers, Rehman, “the head of the Kumandan gang”, was responsible for “providing weapons for robberies”. At the same time, other members carried out crimes under his supervision. The statement added that the looted money was brought to the gang leader, who would then distribute it among members.
