Published: 12:45, 2 July 2026 | Updated: 12:45, 2 July 2026 The Ingham Family have been no strangers to controversy since 2015, when they started documenting every moment of their lives on YouTube. ‘Emotional live birth - labour and delivery!’ reads one title of a video from 2019, where Jane is shown delivering her son, Jace, in hospital. Another, from 2016, is called ‘Christmas morning special opening presents brings tears’, in which the Ingham children are filmed being woken up to open a mountain of gifts under the tree. In total, they’ve amassed 1.38million subscribers and their most popular video hit 70million views. So perhaps it’s no surprise that parents Chris and Sarah have long been accused of using their six children - who now range from ages two to 20 - as cash cows. Scandals have come and gone, such as when the couple took their children out of school to take them travelling (all filmed, of course), or when they decided to put a creepy replica doll of their then four-month-old son, Jace, up for sale. But things took a more sinister turn last month when I retold how Chris, 41, allegedly acted in a predatory manner towards a number of teenage female fans, asking 16-year-olds to meet him privately and send him nude pictures back in 2018, which he denies. Now I can reveal that another member of the Ingham family has been accused of behaving inappropriately with young fans. Chris and Sarah Ingham have amassed 1.38million subscribers on their YouTube channel, The Ingham Family Chris allegedly acted in a predatory manner towards a number of teenage female fans, asking 16-year-olds to meet him privately and send him nude pictures back in 2018 - claims he denies I have been told that Chris’s mother, Jane Ingham, 69, established intimate online relationships with teenage fans. She built a rapport, shared Ingham family secrets and even sent them gifts. After befriending them, she convinced the young fans to instruct girls who accused Chris of sexually inappropriate behaviour online to delete their posts. For the first time, an alleged victim of Jane’s manipulation during her teenage years has opened up about her experiences to the Daily Mail. Charlie Dyball, now aged 25 and working as a teaching assistant near Brighton, was 16 in 2017 when she started speaking to Jane online. She said: ‘It upsets me how easily I would do things for Jane but the worst has to be when she asked me to message Chris’s alleged victims.’ Like any celebrity-obsessed teenager, Charlie would have done anything to get closer to her ‘idols’. She was so desperate to interact with the Inghams that she created a dedicated ‘fan account’ on Instagram where she posted pictures she had drawn of the family, who are originally from Yorkshire, in the hope that they’d notice her. Charlie regularly sent messages to Chris and Sarah, but never heard back from them. The young fan later tried reaching out to Jane, then 60 years old. Recalling how she felt after Jane’s initial response in which she praised the teenager’s drawings, Charlie said: ‘I felt so special as one of my idols noticed me.' But what initially appeared to be a friendly interaction with Jane, she says, soon developed into a manipulative relationship between a vulnerable teenage fan and a woman 44 years her senior. Jane encouraged Charlie to make online posts to persuade Jess Simpson - who was 16 when she publicly alleged that Chris messaged her asking her to ‘sneak out’ of her hotel room in Disneyland Florida to meet him at night - to retract her claims. Jess was another young fan desperate to get closer to the YouTubers she admired. When Jess realised she was staying in the same hotel as the family in Disneyland, she messaged the Inghams’ family Twitter account asking to meet them. But she claims that within hours she received a series of disturbing late-night messages from Chris asking if she was ‘home alone’ and that he wanted meet her ‘for a party’. Chris’s mother, Jane Ingham, allegedly established intimate online relationships with teenage fans, building a rapport with them, sharing family secrets and even sending them gifts Jane offered secrets about the Inghams’ private family life before they were shared on YouTube, including when Sarah was trying to get pregnant When Jess bravely went public with her allegations about Chris on social media, his mother Jane retaliated by encouraging other teenage fans, including Charlie, to undermine her online. Charlie told the Mail: ‘Jane asked me to message Jess. She wanted me to get her to delete everything she had posted about Chris. ‘She got me to message people saying: “Don’t believe what you see, it’s all lies,” and was feeding me with all this information to make me believe it wasn’t true.’ Jane even asked Charlie to record and send her Jess’s ‘Instagram live sessions’ (which is used to broadcast live video on the app), saying they could be ‘helpful’. By then, Charlie and Jane were speaking every day like friends. And their relationship was becoming increasingly inappropriate. Jane often told Charlie how much she ‘loved her’, sending multiple kisses or ‘x’s and love hearts in her messages. Jane persuaded another 16-year-old Ingham follower, part of the ‘iFam fandom’, as they call themselves, to secretly give her Charlie’s home address so she could send her a present for her 17th birthday in January 2018. A red ‘iFam’ hoodie duly appeared at Charlie’s door, which Jane admitted was a gift from her. After Charlie sent a picture of the package to a group chat with Jane and another friend, Jane said: ‘Happy Birthday Charlie... bit early but I hope you like it. Love you lots’. Once Charlie had thanked her for the present, Jane asked, ‘Are you sure that’s ok? xxxx,’ perhaps indicating some awareness of how inappropriate it must have seemed. When Charlie mentioned the gift on Twitter (now X) in October 2019, Jane responded by claiming she had permission from Charlie’s Mum to send it. But Charlie says Jane never sought her mother’s permission at all. Jane said: ‘If I made Charlie feel uncomfortable in any way then I am bemused [sic] and truly sorry. ‘I in no way manipulated her nor offered her anything other than someone she could chat to in good and in difficult times.’ Aside from the gifts, Jane was giving Charlie something that money couldn’t buy: secrets about the Inghams’ private family life before they were shared on YouTube. These included when Sarah was trying to get pregnant, when the Inghams changed management teams and when the family went on holiday to Florida. More alarmingly, on several occasions Jane made reference to the mental health of members of the Ingham family. Charlie now says she feels manipulated by Jane. ‘I come from a really small family,’ says Charlie. ‘It’s just me and my mum. And that’s also why I think I liked that Jane was messaging me because I don’t have a relationship with my grandparents so I think that the child in me saw her as a nan-like figure. I think she knew that and took advantage of it. ‘She would message me all day every day. She would call me her “best friend” and say she “loved me”. She would comment on my personal Instagram posts calling me “beautiful”. She was weirdly obsessed.’ ‘I’m so upset that I let this happen and I’m so appalled at myself for being so naive to it. To me it’s clear she is manipulative.’ Jane also used Charlie to help obtain the contact information for other YouTubers, the Wilkes Family who have a significantly smaller audience than the Inghams of just 2,720 subscribers, so that Chris could send them papers declaring their intent to sue them for comments made online. Charlie isn't the only teenager who claims to have been a victim of Jane’s manipulation. Jane formed relationships with a number of young, vulnerable fans, including Charlie’s friend Molly Evans who was also 16 in 2017 when she received her first message from the then 60-year-old. Molly, now 25 and living in Birmingham, made her own fan page for the Inghams on Instagram where she regularly posted video edits of their YouTube content. Like Charlie, she watched their videos every day for a sense of ‘comfort’. Molly was struggling with her mental health at the time, something which Jane was aware of and often asked her about. She too believes Jane preyed on young vulnerable girls from ‘the fandom’ to help control narratives about the family online. Jane’s initially friendly communication with Molly became increasingly inappropriate. Jane quickly started messaging Molly every day and used intimate pet names for her including ‘baby’, ‘babe’, ‘my favourite’ and ‘my best friend’. She would give Molly unsolicited ‘advice’, including telling her who she should and should not be friends with at school and in the Ingham online fandom. She also often instructed Molly on how she should speak to and interact with others. A Snapchat picture of Chris with the message, ‘Drop that towel and re send!!’ has since been shared widely online but Chris denies sending it to Bella Fearn, who was 19 at the time Jane became increasingly more controlling of Charlie and Molly when more sexual allegations, made by young female fans against Chris, emerged in late 2018. In July 2018, 19-year-old Bella Fearn from Staffordshire claimed that Chris sent her inappropriate messages on Snapchat after they met at Alton Towers. Bella said: ‘I’d just finished work and sent him a picture and he told me to resend it without the towel. It was disgusting and just really inappropriate because he’s got a wife and kids and all these fans.’ A Snapchat picture of Chris with the message, ‘Drop that towel and re send!!’ has since been shared widely online but Chris denies sending it to Bella. When the accusations surfaced, Jane told the young girls they were ‘all lies’ and that they must encourage people who posted about them to deny them. Charlie and Molly both told the Mail that they felt forced into acting as ‘middlemen’ between the Inghams and their fan base, mediating conversations online and pushing a narrative that Jane influenced them to share. Jane created a groupchat on Whatsapp called ‘Jane’s favourites’ where she would speak to the girls. In hindsight, Charlie says: ‘Now I see it shouldn’t have happened. She crossed a line.’ Chris has denied all allegations that he behaved in a predatory manner towards young fans. In a video from August 2018, which has since been deleted, he said: ‘Have I ever done anything that could be classed as sexually grooming somebody? No. Hell no. Of course I haven’t.’ He continued: ‘A lot of people out there have wrongly jumped to so many conclusions about me. Wrongly and ignorantly named and labelled me so many things, twisted so much and made so many presumptions about so many things that are just completely wrong and disgusting.’ Molly and Charlie cut ties with Jane in 2019 when they realised how inappropriate her demands were. But they said they felt too afraid to speak out against the Inghams at the time for fear of being sued. Chris said: ‘Jane Ingham is a private individual with no role in our public content. ‘These claims are completely irrelevant to me, my wife Sarah, our children or our YouTube channel. They appear to be malicious gossip from disgruntled former fans or online trolls.’ Jane Ingham has been contacted for comment. The Inghams have since moved to Dubai following the controveries surrounding their family in 2018. Only time will tell if they were seeking a new beginning - or if they were running away from a dark past. No comments have so far been submitted.
