Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has sent an emotional message to students on their first day back to in-person learning in UAE schools after weeks of remote classes due to regional conflict.
He emphasised that the UAE’s education system has proven “exceptional capacity for full continuity” despite the challenging conditions the region has endured.

Addressing students directly, Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE is a nation that does not stop in the face of challenges and continues to learn and teach without pause.
Just over two days ago, a routine weekend afternoon at a Dubai restaurant took an unexpected turn when Sheikh Mohammed casually walked in.
Guests and staff applauded his arrival, standing as he passed through the restaurant with a small group of officials, greeting them warmly in return.
A video of the visit soon became viral online, as often happens with clips showing Sheikh Mohammed interacting with the public.
One user thanked him for his leadership, saying he has helped make the UAE “a place of safety, progress, and opportunity for all".
