Massimiliano Allegri makes his debut as Napoli’s head coach in an away game against Daniele De Rossi’s Genoa, picking Rasmus Hojlund in attack, while Kevin De Bruyne is expected to start on the bench.
It kicks off at 20:45 CET [19:45 BST] after Inter-Monza and Udinese, and at the same time as Parma-Cagliari.
Genoa host the Partenopei without the injured Lorenzo Venturino, Elias Havel and Hamed Junior Traoré. Napoli have travelled to Marassi without Alessandro Buongiorno, Luca Marianucci and Pasquale Mazzocchi.
New signing Costantino Favasuli will be available on the bench for Napoli, according to multiple sources, including Sky Sport Italia. De Bruyne will also be omitted from the starting XI being still not fully fit.
The Belgian resumed training just a few weeks ago, after returning from the World Cup.
Allegri, however, said on Friday that KDB is in good shape despite having trained with the rest of the team for just ten days.
Matteo Politano and Alisson Santos are expected to start on the wings, with Hojlund chosen as a sole striker.
As for Genoa, Lorenzo Colombo and Vitinha are likely to get the nod in attack, with Tommaso Baldanzi deployed as an attacking midfielder.
