According to sources, the objections raised by the Registrar’s Office are preliminary in nature. A competent authority will decide whether the objections are to be maintained or removed. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar confirmed that objections had been raised on the party’s petition. Speaking to the media, PTI chief Barrister Gohar said the Registrar’s Office had objected that the petition did not include a list of individuals allegedly responsible for contempt of court. He said the PTI had also requested that the contempt petition be fixed for an early hearing. “The contempt petition is being returned to us,” Barrister Gohar said, adding that the party would re-file the petition on Tuesday. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in a plea sought contempt proceedings over alleged violation of the apex court’s August 18 order. Petitioner requested the court to issue show cause notices to those committed contempt of the court. In petition, the court asked to summon those responsible for contempt in their personal capacity and punish them according to the law.
