Pre-launch Galaxy S26 leaks suggested this would be the case. While some of Samsung’s deals have been sub-par, a new promotion is its most aggressive yet and comes close to the Galaxy S25’s lowest ever price by knocking $500 of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung's first notable discount knocked $200 off in mid-May, which I reported was actually $30 less generous than the equivalent Galaxy S25 Ultra deal at the same point last year. A few weeks later, the Memorial Day sale pushed that to $250 off. Now Samsung has gone further again, dropping the price to $999.99 alongside a free storage upgrade from 256GB to 512GB. Oddly the site is charging $999 for both the 256GB and 512GB models, although I’m not sure why anyone would pick the lower storage tier for the same price. Altogether that is a $500 discount for the 512GB model, which represents a serious price cut by any standard, not just in the context of 2026's higher hardware prices.
