Hürmüz Boğazı veya Süveyş üzerinden devam eden enerji dağılımının artık Türkiye'ye daha fazla pay veren bir noktaya gelmesini sağlayabilir diye düşünebiliriz." dedi. Yılmaz, Anadolu Ajansının (AA) "Global İletişim Ortağı" olduğu Antalya Diplomasi Forumu (ADF) 2026 kapsamında AA muhabirinin sorularını yanıtladı. ABD/İsrail-İran Savaşı'nın Basra Körfezi'ndeki enerji akışına darbe vurmasıyla başlayan alternatif enerji nakil hattı tartışmalarını değerlendiren Yılmaz, Avrupa'ya gidiş yolunda da en önemli hattın kara yoluyla Türkiye, deniz yoluyla ise Hürmüz Boğazı-Babülmendep Boğazı-Süveyş Kanalı-Akdeniz hattı veyahut Hürmüz-Asya güzergahı olduğunu söyledi. Büyükelçi Yılmaz, "Bu savaşla birlikte özellikle Hürmüz Boğazı'nda sıkıntılar yaşanması, bu enerji akışını ya kuzeydeki Türkiye'nin kontrol ettiği karasal hatlara ya da Akdeniz'e doğrudan erişimi öne çıkartabilecek, Irak'tan Suriye'ye uzanan alternatif hatlara yöneltecek. Bu da hem Türkiye için hem Suriye için aslında önemli bir fırsat anlamına geliyor." dedi. Enerji hatlarının milyarlarca dolarlık yatırım isteyen ve mutlak surette siyasi istikrara ihtiyaç duyan projeler olduğuna dikkati çeken Yılmaz, şöyle devam etti: "O yüzden de Türkiye'de var olan enerji hatlarının şu anda çalışıyor olması, Türkiye'yi öncelikli aktör haline getiriyor. Güvenli çıkışın en kısa, en ucuz, en istikrarlı yolu şu anda Türkiye. Hürmüz Boğazı veya Süveyş üzerinden devam eden enerji dağılımının, artık Türkiye'ye daha fazla pay veren bir noktaya gelmesini sağlayabilir diye düşünebiliriz." Yılmaz, Basra Körfezi'ndeki sıkıntılardan ötürü ikinci alternatifin de Suriye-Irak hattı olduğunu ve yavaş yavaş buna uygun bazı şartların geliştiğini dile getirdi. Bu hat için Suriye'nin milyarca dolarlık yatırımların yapılabileceği siyasi istikrara ve güvenlik ortamına kavuşması gerektiğine işaret eden Yılmaz, bu açıdan "İsrail'in istikrarsızlaştırıcı hareketleri" ve "terör hareketlerinin" birtakım engeller arz ettiğini söyledi. Yılmaz, "Bunlar kontrol altına alındığında yani PKK, DEAŞ, ve İsrail negatif alanları kontrol altına alındığında, Suriye de önemli bir aktör haline gelebilir ama Suriye'nin bu noktaya gelmesi elbette vakit alacak. En azından belki 10 yıl alacak çünkü siyasi istikrarın oluşması ve akabinde yatırımların yapılması, konsorsiyumların kurulması gibi bir seyir gerekli. Türkiye (seçeneği), bu minvalde ciddi anlamda avantajlı görünüyor diyebiliriz." diye konuştu. Suriye'deki ulusal entegrasyon süreci ve Ankara'nın beklentilerine ilişkin soru üzerine Yılmaz, Türkiye'nin bölgede güvenlik ihtiyaçlarının ve terörle mücadele konusunda birtakım beklentilerin bulunduğunu dile getirdi. Yılmaz, "Bu beklentilerin gerçekleşmesi, Türkiye'deki süreçle de ilgili. O yüzden Türkiye'den bağımsız düşünülemez çünkü PKK birkaç ülkede örgütlenmiş olan, birkaç ülkede faaliyet sürdüren bir örgüt. Suriye'deki ayağında da Türkiye'nin kendisi için ne beklediği, Suriye'nin ne yapabileceği, PKK ile nasıl bir düzlemde anlaşılabileceği gibi çeşitli optimum noktalar var." değerlendirmesinde bulundu. Suriye'nin, "kendi iç uzlaşma sürecini yürütürken Türkiye kadar güçlü ve istikrarlı bir noktadan konuşmadığı"na işaret eden Yılmaz, şunları kaydetti: "Suriye'de gerçekleşen müzakereler, Türkiye açısından son derece olumlu ama oranın ulaştığı nokta, Türkiye'nin bütün ihtiyacını karşılayacak veya ortaya çıkan şey, Türkiye'nin istediği çerçeve mi olacak? Bunu söylemek biraz güç ama böyle olsa bile buna bir süreç olarak bakmak lazım. Suriye güçlendikçe, terör meselesi yönetilebilir hale geldikçe, terörden entegrasyona geçildiği sürece Türkiye'nin çıkarları da tedricen karşılanacaktır. 'Türkiye'nin beklentileri de tedricen karşılanacaktır' diye düşünüyorum." Yılmaz, Türkiye-Suriye ticaretinin gelişimi ile gümrük, sınır geçişleri ve resmi belgelerin karşılıklı tanınması gibi çalışmaların vakit alan süreç olduğuna dikkati çekti. "Çünkü 13 yıl boyunca Türkiye ile Suriye arasında bir gümrük yoktu." diyen Yılmaz, şunları söyledi: "O yüzden de daha farklı, defakto anlaşmalarla süreçler yürütülüyordu. Şimdi yavaş yavaş bunlar resmileşmeye başlıyor. O yüzden de bazen git geller oluyor, bazen müzakereler oluyor. Sürekli değişiyor ama 'Şu an itibarıyla fena gitmiyor' diyebiliriz ama daha iyi olacağını düşünüyoruz." Yılmaz, özellikle belirli ürünler konusundaki anlaşmalar ile gümrük vergilerinin müzakere edilmesi gibi durumların iki ülkenin de çıkarına olacak şekilde yürütüldüğünü vurgulayarak, "Geçen hafta İstanbul'da yapılan JETCO toplantısında da zaten önümüzdeki dönemde bu sorunların çözüleceği mekanizmalar da masaya yatırıldı." dedi. Sürecin olumlu seyrine dikkati çeken Yılmaz, "Ben şu anda sürecin iyi gittiğini ama önümüzdeki dönemde daha da iyiye gideceğini düşünüyorum. Özellikle yolların tamir edildiği, belli fiziksel sorunların halledildiği, ulaşım problemlerinin ortadan kalktığı bir dönemde iki ülke arasındaki ticaret herhalde zirveyi görecektir." diye konuştu.
