Gemi, daha sonra Karasu açıklarında karaya oturdu. İhbar üzerine bölgeye, kıyı emniyeti, sahil güvenlik, AFAD, jandarma ve itfaiye ekipleri sevk edildi. Gemideki 8 kişilik mürettebatın kurtarılması için çalışma başlatılacağı, bölgeye sahil güvenlik tarafından hava aracı istendiği öğrenildi. Karasu Kaymakamı Mehmet Uğur Arslan da bölgeye gelerek incelemede bulundu, yetkililerden bilgi aldı.
