Roma must sell to meet capital gains threshold, Betis keen on Angeliño
Roma face a demanding summer of financial housekeeping, with the club required to generate approximately €80 million in capital gains before the 30 June UEFA deadline, placing considerable pressure on sporting director Frederic Massara to identify significant sales without critically undermining the squad.

One player who appears likely to be among those sold is Angeliño.
The Spanish left-back has had an extremely difficult season at the Olimpico, spending the vast majority of the campaign on the sidelines due to serious health issues before finally returning to action in March against Lecce, where his comeback was greeted warmly by the home supporters.
Despite that affectionate reception, his time in Rome appears to be drawing to a close.

Roma could part ways with Angeliño to meet UEFA capital gains target
According to Il Messaggero, via TuttoMercatoWeb, Angeliño has requested a transfer this summer, a development that aligns with Roma’s own need to move players on.
The Spaniard came close to joining Al-Hilal last summer before that move fell through, and a return to Spain now looks the most likely destination. Real Betis have emerged as a concrete suitor, with the Seville club offering the player the prospect of returning to his homeland.
From Roma’s perspective, the sale would help contribute to their UEFA-mandated capital gains target while removing a significant wage from the books.
Balancing the requirement to raise funds while keeping the squad competitive enough to remain in Champions League contention will be the central challenge of Massara’s summer, and Angeliño’s departure, if confirmed, would be one piece of a much larger financial puzzle.
