Revealed: 'Britain's luckiest place' where you are most likely to win Postcode Lottery
The place where Britons are most likely to win the Postcode Lottery has been revealed.
The odds of winning a National Lottery jackpot stand at one in 45 million, and the odds of taking home anything at all one in 9.3.
Postcode Lottery players, however, enjoy odds of one in four, with smaller top prizes.
Larger prizes, such as the Postcode Millions, Millionaire Street, or the £250,000 prize, see odds of around one in 250,000 - still more favourable than the National Lottery.
It can now be revealed exactly which postcodes are the luckiest.
The Birmingham "B" postcode has scored the most wins - picking up 1,595 since January 2011.
Next was Sheffield's "S" postcode with 1,514 victories.
Manchester's "M" was in third place with 1,333 and Newcastle upon Tyne's "NE" secured fourth at 1,217.

Nottingham's "NG" postcode places it in the top five in with 1,177 wins, followed by Glasgow's "G" with 1,135.
The remaining top 10 are filled out with Cardiff's "C" (1,028), Peterborough's "PE" (987), Portsmouth's "PO" (962), and Bristol's "BS" (957).
These are some of Britain's most populated cities and areas, so it follows it is largely represented in the data when evaluating luck by most number of wins.
But London is notably unrepresented in the lucky list - despite its near-10-million population.

Britain's capital has only had 1,138 winners since February 2024, ranking it seventh among the country's regions.
The luckiest area in Britain is the North West, with 1,756 wins since February 2024.
In second was the South East with 1,663 - followed by Yorkshire and the Humber with 1,348.
The South West, with 1,291 wins came in fourth and the East of England followed in fifth with 1,239 wins.

London came in seventh with the West Midlands (995), East Midlands (957) and Wales (878) completing the top 10 by region.
The capital may have lower numbers of Postcode Lottery due to lower levels of participation, with higher play rates resulting in more wins.
When divided by number of individual districts with postcodes, PR, for Preston, Lancashire, becomes the luckiest, with an average of 47.64 wins.
Next up is "WA" in Warrington with 38.6 wins on average, followed by "FY" in Blackpool with 37.46.
