Republican congressman loses it at Anna Paulina Luna in explosive closed-door 'temper tantrum' ... as she storms out

In a rare move, House Republicans joined Democrats to vote down a pro-veterans bill, being pushed by GOP Congressman Zach Nunn, due to disagreements with the language over medical benefits to injured vets. Democrats tried to pass a measure to revise the bill, and three GOP lawmakers, including MAGA firebrand Anna Paulina Luna, joined them. She opposed the bill on the grounds that it cuts some benefits for veterans to help pay for the new ones. Two sources familiar with the meeting say that Nunn ‘lost his s**t’ on Luna, after she ‘stormed in’ and interrupted him. Luna was one of three Republicans who joined Democrats in the vote which failed.  Johnson had to interject to calm everyone down, two sources said.  Luna abruptly left the meeting after Nunn’s blowup, one source told the Daily Mail. The conflict pits Nunn, a 20-year veteran for the Air Force against Luna, who also served in the military for six years. Luna told the Daily Mail she was infuriated by Nunn's outburst.  ’This type of conduct behind closed doors in the professional workforce would get people fired,’ Luna told the Daily Mail when approached for comment. ‘I don’t respond to temper tantrums and don’t care if I get yelled at.’ Nunn’s office and Speaker Johnson’s office did not return requests for comment. The bill proposes an increase of benefits for medically retired combat-injured veterans to receive full retirement and disability benefits all at once. Luna opposes the bill, claiming that it reduces some benefits for veterans to help pay for the new benefits. Nunn’s office and Speaker Johnson's office did not return a request for comment. Supporters of the bill say claims of the legislation cutting benefits is mischaracterized, as it would only change disability ratings for veterans in tinnitus and sleep apnea cases to save money and help pay for the bill.  Many House Republicans have privately voiced frustration with Luna, who generates a lot of heat on social media platforms, even against some of her Republican colleagues.
