Report Salah could enjoy Roma return as free agent in 2026
Mohamed Salah has confirmed he will leave Liverpool as a free agent this summer, and one of the potential destinations is a return to Roma.
The Egypt international will celebrate his 34th birthday in June and has been at Anfield Road since the €42m sale from Roma in the summer of 2017.
It was with the Giallorossi that he first made his mark, after experiences at Chelsea and Fiorentina.
Roma could welcome Salah back after 9 years

Salah has still made a significant impact at Liverpool this season with 10 goals and nine assists in 34 competitive appearances, but had differences with manager Arne Slot.
It is widely assumed that he will now move to either MLS for San Diego, or into the Saudi Pro League where Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadsiah are interested.
Another option mentioned by Retesport and La Gazzetta dello Sport is a possible return to where it really started at Roma.
This would be a short-term arrangement, and he would need to accept a pay cut from his current €12m per season net salary.
Even if they qualify for the Champions League, Roma’s salary cap would be closer to €4m.
