ALBAWABA - Rockstar has been in a tough spot lately after a major GTA 6 leak from an unknown person or group calling themselves Cyberleek.
Now, a Reddit user also took the internet by storm after claiming that Rockstar lawyers reportedly showed up at their house because they "accidentally guessed" that GTA 6 would be leaked on August 18, ahead of its official November 19 release date.
User 'PilotX1970' took to a subreddit called "GTA6unmoderated" and wrote, "August 18th - don't ask me how I know. If you don't believe me, come back on that date and we will see. Xx." Little did they know that their claims might have put them in hot water with Rockstar.
Reddit user who 'guessed' GTA 6 leak had Rockstar on his doorstep over Cyberleek ties
When asked about whether they knew Cyberleek, PilotX1970 claimed that they are a "friend of a friend."
The same user later shared a video of someone named "David" showing up on their doorstep on behalf of Rockstar to investigate whether they had any connection to Cyberleek.
Many users speculated about the video's authenticity:
"If you lot believe this is real than you lot have a problem. You telling me world star company is going to send someone to their house? No they file charges and let the law do their job. If this is true. I would call this extortion and bullying. Which is neither. Both are nervouss."
"Hard to believe guessing someone online could choose a random day and say such and such is going to happen. Buddy people do this sh*t all the time on the internet. Just go to Reddit and look at all of the delusional crazies spewing out conspiracies, and nonsense all day long lmao."
Cyberleek has been on a roll since August 18, sharing all kinds of content related to GTA 6, including alleged gameplay footage, map details, and NPC interactions, while also promoting a cryptocurrency, which received criticism from users on social media.
