Realbotix Launches First Vinci-Enabled Humanoid Robot to Ericsson

Fez – Realbotix has delivered its first humanoid robot equipped with its Vinci vision system to Ericsson, as the company moves to expand the use of human-centered robotics in real-world business settings.

The Vinci system is a patented artificial intelligence technology designed to improve how robots interact with people. It allows the robot to recognize returning users, remember past conversations, and naturally continue them. 

The system also enables the robot to maintain eye contact, a feature that aims to make interactions more engaging and more human-like.

The technology relies on cameras placed inside the robot’s eyes. These cameras provide real-time awareness of the surrounding environment, allowing the robot to adjust its responses based on context. As a result, conversations can remain relevant and tailored to each situation.

Beyond communication, Vinci also supports advanced data collection. The system can identify who is interacting with the robot, track behavior, capture emotional responses, and measure engagement over time. 

This data can be used by businesses for analysis, including in areas such as customer experience and research.

The robots are also capable of detecting motion, identifying objects and colors, and interpreting emotional cues. This allows them to respond in a more precise and context-aware way.

According to Realbotix, the delivery to Ericsson represents an important step in bringing visually aware humanoid robots into enterprise environments. 

Adding that embedding cameras directly into the robot’s eyes helps create more natural interaction with people and surroundings.

Realbotix expects its Vinci-enabled robots to be used across customer engagement, training programs, and technology demonstrations, while also providing businesses with detailed data insights.
