Firefighters were able to contain the fire to seven acres with the help of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the fire authority said. Video from the scene showed smoke billowing from the fire as a helicopter flying overhead sprayed it with water. The Orange County Fire Authority did not respond to a request for comment. In a statement posted to her Instagram stories, Pedranti said her son and “others were involved.” The mother of five — four sons and one daughter — did not mention which son was involved in the incident. “My ex husband and myself take this very serious. This behavior is unacceptable and we are deeply sorry to our community. This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family,” she wrote.
