Every year around this time, the New York Rangers ask reporters who cover the team to vote for a few awards, notably team MVP. It’s always an interesting exercise to determine who brought the most value in a given season, even one that went as poorly as 2025-26.After discussing amongst ourselves at The Athletic, we decided to bring that conversation here. Factoring in production, usage, analytics and general impressions we’ve gathered by watching and being around the Rangers all season, we’ve come up with our own top-10 list.
