Rampaging passenger tries to jump OUT of jumbo jet mid-flight as horrified flyers look on
A rampaging airline passenger attempted to jump out of a jumbo jet mid-flight as fellow flyers watched on in horror.
A Frontier Airlines aircraft travelling from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Chicago O'Hare International Airport was forced to make an emergency landing in Miami on Sunday.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that crew members aboard Flight 3345 reported a "passenger disturbance" whilst the plane was airborne.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, the man attempted to pry open the aircraft's exit doors during the flight, shouting that he wianted to leave the plane.
Cabin crew repeatedly instructed him to return to his seat, but he refused to comply.
The passenger then made his way towards the front of the aircraft, where he is said to have attempted to gain access to the cockpit.
Flight attendants relocated him to a different seat and arranged for an off-duty crew member to sit beside him in the aisle position.
When the off-duty attendant stepped away to use the toilet the man tried to seize his bag.

After being told to leave the belongings alone, he launched an assault on the off-duty flight attendant, attempting to strangle him.
Fellow passengers intervened and helped to subdue the man.
Working together, cabin crew and passengers managed to restrain him until the aircraft could be diverted.
The plane touched down safely at Miami International Airport at around 11.55pm.
