The Princess of Wales is said to be preparing to travel to India alongside Prince William this November for the 2026 Earthshot Prize ceremony.
If it were to go ahead, as The Mirror reports, the trip would mark Catherine and William's first joint international trip since the princess underwent treatment for cancer, after being diagnosed in 2024.

Catherine has not attended her husband's Earthshot Prize ceremony since their American trip to Boston four years ago.
An appearance in India would signal that the future Queen is ready to resume the kind of high-profile international engagements that were once a staple of her calendar.
Her withdrawal from public life began in January 2024, when she disclosed that she had received a cancer diagnosis and was undergoing treatment.
The announcement prompted a prolonged period away from official engagements, during which the princess stepped back entirely from her working royal responsibilities.
In May, she completed her first overseas engagement in over two years - a two-day visit to Reggio Emilia in northern Italy centred on the city's renowned approach to early childhood education.
Following the trip, Catherine released the pictures alongside a heartwarming essay, where she made a passionate case for authentic human connection in an era dominated by screens.
And since then, her summer schedule has been notably full. The family attended Trooping the Colour and the Commonwealth Games in Scotland, while Catherine returned to Royal Ascot, conquered the National Three Peaks Challenge, and once again presented the trophies at Wimbledon.
The Earthshot Prize, Prince William's flagship environmental initiative launched in 2021, has grown into one of the most prominent platforms for climate innovation worldwide.

Catherine last graced the Earthshot stage in December 2022, when she and William hosted the ceremony in Boston - the prize's inaugural event on American soil.
Since then, three successive ceremonies have taken place without her.
She was absent from the 2023 awards held in Singapore, and subsequently missed both the 2024 gathering in Cape Town and last year's edition in Rio de Janeiro.
The prospect of her return to the Earthshot stage in November would therefore end a four-year absence from an initiative in which she has played a pivotal behind-the-scenes role since its inception.
India holds particular resonance as a venue for the ceremony. When William announced the country as host back in February, he spoke of its natural fit with Earthshot's ambitions.
"This country is a global technology leader; it's home to 8 per cent of the world's biodiversity," he said. "It's the world's fastest-growing major climate with the largest population of young people in the world. And it's home to more Earthshot Prize finalists and winners than any other country on the planet."
The nation also carries personal significance for the couple. A decade ago, in 2016, William and Catherine undertook a joint tour of India and Bhutan, with stops in Mumbai, New Delhi, Kaziranga National Park in Assam, and the Taj Mahal in Agra.
A return visit would therefore blend the professional and the personal - reconnecting the pair with a country they know well while advancing their shared environmental mission.
