Princess Eugenie shares heartwarming unseen photos of sporty son to celebrate third birthday
Princess Eugenie posted unseen photos and a touching tribute to her son, Ernest, on social media yesterday evening, as he celebrated his third birthday.
The images offer a rare window into the Royal Family's private life.
One snapshot captures young Ernie wearing his characteristic blue cap and playing around with balloons, while another shows the toddler demonstrating his sporting prowess by kicking a small football emblazoned with the Chelsea logo - the team his father, Jack Brooksbank, passionately supports.
A particularly sweet image depicts the birthday boy strolling hand-in-hand with his elder sibling, August, five, down a street.
August wore a blue hoodie with the hood raised, while Ernie remained faithful to his signature cap.
The 36-year-old princess concluded her tribute with a tender autumnal photograph showing mother and son sharing an affectionate kiss beneath a tree adorned with golden leaves.
In her heartfelt caption, the princess paid tribute to her son with touching words.
"Happy 3rd birthday to my tiger-loving, hat-wearing, constantly hugging, fearless golden boy Ernie," the post read.
"You light up every room with your deep voice and infectious smile".
Ernest and his brother August are the children of Eugenie and marketing executive Jack, who exchanged vows at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, in October 2018.
August arrived in 2021, his name honouring Queen Victoria's consort Prince Albert, whose full title was Franz August Karl Albert Emanuel.
Ernest followed in 2023, named after King George V, who bore the full name George Frederick Ernest Albert.

Ernest is set to become an older brother for the first time this summer as the Brooksbank family will expand further with a third child on the way.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the happy news on May 4, announcing that the princess and her husband were "very pleased" about the impending arrival.
The King was said to be "delighted" by the announcement, while August and Ernest are reportedly "very excited" to welcome a new sibling.
The announcement came just one day after Eugenie shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute celebrating her husband reaching his 40th birthday.
The baby will arrive 15th in line to the throne, though will not hold an HRH title.
This will push the Duke of Edinburgh down to 16th position in the line of succession.
The new arrival will become the 15th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
