Sources said that the federal government offered the PPP a partnership in the AJK government along with important posts. The PML-N offered the presidency of AJK and the role of deputy speaker of the legislative assembly. On the other hand, the PPP has categorically rejected the ruling party’s offer. The PPP has decided to sit on the opposition benches, sources added. Furthermore, the PPP will field its candidates for the slots of AJK Prime Minister, speaker, and deputy speaker. PPP sources stated that discussions with the ruling PML-N were linked to re-elections in certain constituencies.
