Power outages, mismanagement mar matric exams
Students appearing in the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examinations under the Board of Secondary Education Karachi continue to face severe difficulties due to mismanagement, power outages and lack of basic facilities. The Physics paper for Grade 9 was conducted in the morning shift on Wednesday. However, several examination centres reported electricity failures and administrative issues, while the paper also circulated on social media. In particular, at the Government Boys and Girls Secondary School Khuldabad examination centre in Landhi, overcrowding created serious disorder. According to the Town Education Officer, over 1,200 candidates were already present at the center, and with an additional 300 students arriving, the total number rose to around 1,500, leading to significant chaos. Students complained that frequent power outages made it extremely difficult to attempt the paper.المصدر: Express Tribune | Source: Express Tribune
