Police swarm Idaho In-N-Out after rifle-wielding gunman opens fire from drive-thru in active shooter terror

By WILL POTTER, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 22:46, 1 August 2026 | Updated: 22:58, 1 August 2026 A gunman armed with a long rifle is being sought in an urgent manhunt in Twin Falls, Idaho after opening fire at an In-N-Out burger restaurant.  An image from the scene showed the at-large suspect in the drive-thru area of the restaurant on Saturday, wielding a large weapon resembling an assault rifle.  Footage from witnesses showed dozens of people fleeing the scene, as a barrage of gunshots could be heard.   It is unclear if there are any injuries or deaths, with Twin Falls police officers telling KMTV at the scene that they are actively looking for the gunman.
