Police search for missing man 'living in van' believed to be 200 miles from home

Police are asking the public to look out for a white van as inquiries to find a missing person continue. Gwent Police is searching for Daniel Beavan, who is originally from Cornwall. His last known location is thought to in the Pantygasseg area of Pontypool on Tuesday, May 26. The 47-year old was reported missing on Wednesday, June 3. Officers said he left his home address in the Troon area of Cornwall on Sunday, May 24, and travelled to Wales. The van was recorded as travelling in the Newport area on the A48 Southern Distributor Road westbound on Tuesday, June 2. Daniel is described as white, about 5ft 7in, tall and of a medium build. He is bald with grey facial hair and has a tattoo sleeve on his right arm. Anyone with information that could help Gwent Police locate Daniel is asked to contact the force on 101 quoting 11612119.
