Police offer £20,000 reward in Primrose Hill stabbing manhunt as suspect told 'do the right thing'

The Metropolitan Police have offered a £20,000 reward to encourage the public to help lead to an arrest in the Primrose Hill stabbing.

Detectives are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old student, Finbar Sullivan, in the north London park.

The filmmaking student died in the early evening on Tuesday, April 7.

A manhunt is underway for 22-year-old suspect Jordan Asije, and police released a photo on Tuesday morning.

The force has urged the man, who is known to frequent north London, to “do the right thing” and hand himself in.

Another man in his 20s also suffered injuries, which were not life-threatening or life-changing, police said.

Detective Inspector Andy Griffin, who is leading the investigation, said: "Jordan, if you are reading this, I urge you to do the right thing and hand yourself in at the nearest police station.

"I also want to make it clear that anyone knowingly assisting Jordan to evade arrest, or harbouring him, may be committing a criminal offence and can expect to be investigated and dealt with robustly."

The Met said Mr Asije is not believed to pose a threat to the public but added that he should not be approached.

Mr Griffin added: "My thoughts remain with Finbar’s family following their truly devastating loss.

"We have made significant progress in understanding the events that led to his tragic death and our enquiries continue.

"As part of this work, a reward of up to £20,000 is now being offered to encourage the public to help us arrest everyone we believe was involved in the murder."

He said: "No piece of information is too small and what may appear insignificant to you, could prove vital to our enquiries."

Anyone who sees him should call police on 999 instead, or call 101 quoting reference CAD 6448/07APR26.

Three other men have already been charged with Mr Sullivan’s murder: Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27; Alexis Bidace, 25; and Ernest Boateng, 25.

A fourth man, Khalid Abdulqadir, 18, has been charged with grievous bodily harm.

Ogunyankinnu, Bidace and Boateng, all from Enfield, and Abdulqadir from Camden, have all been remanded into custody.

Primrose Hill is a Grade II listed public park and exclusive residential district in North London, famous for its 63-metre summit offering panoramic views of the city skyline.

Located just north of The Regent's Park, it functions as an upscale urban village known for its independent boutiques, colourful Victorian terrace houses, and celebrity residents.

The summit features one of London’s six protected viewing corridors, keeping trees low to preserve clear lines of sight to landmarks like the London Eye and the Shard.
