Police have renewed their appeal for information regarding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's case following his arrest on suspicion of misconduct.

Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor has denied any wrongdoing and is currently under investigation while remaining out of public view.

Separately, Sarah Ferguson's charity has been closed amid scrutiny of her connections to Jeffrey Epstein, and she has lost a city honor in York.

Officers investigating the case involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor have issued a fresh appeal for members of the public to provide any relevant information they may hold.

In a statement released on Monday, police urged individuals to get in touch via "the usual non-emergency police contact channels."

Authorities also clarified the broad scope of the investigation, telling the Express: "We don’t have an update at this time, but we are following all reasonable lines of enquiry.

"We encourage anyone with relevant information to come forward through the usual non-emergency police contact channels.

"Misconduct in public office is a complex crime that may manifest as a variety of different behaviours, including sexual misconduct."

The renewed appeal signals that the inquiry remains active, with investigators keen to gather further evidence from anyone who may be able to assist.

Following Mr Mountbatten-Windsor's February arrest by Thames Valley Police on suspicion of misconduct in public office, he was released under investigation and has remained entirely silent, retreating from public view.

On the day of the arrest, King Charles released an official statement expressing "the deepest concern" but firmly adding that "the law must take its course" and that the authorities have his full cooperation.

Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Separately, a charity established by Sarah Ferguson has been closed following increased scrutiny of her connections to the convicted sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The trust now appears as "removed" on the Charity Commission's website, confirming it is no longer registered.

Its listing at Companies House similarly shows a status of "converted/closed", having previously been recorded as a charitable incorporated organisation.

Ms Ferguson also suffered the loss of the freedom of the city of York, after councillors cast a unanimous vote to strip her of the honour.

Earlier this year, millions of documents connected to Epstein were made public, casting fresh light on the nature of Ms Ferguson's relationship with the disgraced financier.

Among the material was an email exchange that indicated Ms Ferguson had brought her daughters to visit Epstein in the United States just days after he had completed a prison sentence for child sex crimes.

Ms Ferguson previously shared a home with her former husband at Royal Lodge, his long-standing residence.

However, the King's brother was compelled to leave the property and has since relocated to Marsh Farm, situated on the King's Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

In September 2025, a spokesman for Ms Ferguson stated: “The duchess spoke of her regret about her association with Epstein many years ago, and as they have always been, her first thoughts are with his victims.”

Ms Ferguson has consistently denied any wrongdoing, and being mentioned in the Epstein Files is not an indication of misconduct.
