Police hunt man after 'female passenger dragged to the floor in attempted rape' on Bakerloo line train

The British Transport Police (BTP) have released CCTV footage of a man they are looking to identify following the incident about 11.40pm on Saturday.  BTP said the woman was travelling alone when she was approached by a man between Waterloo and Lambeth North station.  The man allegedly exposed himself to the woman before 'forcibly' pulling her to the ground and attempting to rape her.  The woman fled the train at Lambeth North and alerted station staff. The man stayed on the train and got off at Elephant & Castle station.  Officers working to track the man's movements believe he was at Oxford Circus before the incident and Piccadilly underground station afterwards.  One line of enquiry is that he may be homeless.  The British Transport Police (BTP) have released CCTV footage of a man they are looking to identify following the incident about 11.40pm on Saturday BTP said the woman was travelling alone when she was approached by a man between Waterloo and Lambeth North station (pictured, CCTV of a man police wish to identify) BTP Detective Sergeant Krishan Appannah said the woman was being supported by officers following the 'horrific incident'.  She said: 'We understand incidents of this nature are deeply concerning for the public and we're appealing to them directly to help us identify the man in the CCTV footage. One line of enquiry is that he may be homeless. 'We are asking anyone who recognises the man in the images to text us his name to 61016 quoting reference 948 of 11 July. He may have vital information that could assist our ongoing investigation.'
